As stated in Merit Personnel, personnel policy III, section 2b, 2 & 3:
County promotional recruitments will be posted for a minimum of 14 calendar days. Only employees who occupy a position in the competitive service and have successfully completed their probationary period prior to the final date to file an application are eligible to compete by applying during the 14-day posting period.
Departmental promotional recruitments will be posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. Only employees of the specific department in which a promotional opportunity exists who occupy a budgeted position in the competitive service and have successfully completed their probationary period prior to the final date to file an application are eligible to compete by applying during the seven-day posting period.

Experience: Starting with your most recent job, include all employment. List all your work/volunteer experience that qualifies you for the job you are applying for. Human Resources will determine whether or not you meet the minimum qualifications for the job based on your experience as you describe it on your application. Part-time experience will be prorated. When listing employment history all applicants must specify all titles held, including current position, duties, the employers name, department and/or division. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see attached resume" on your application.
