| Police Records Technician II is the full journey-level class in the class series. The work requires independence and ability to handle the most difficult and demanding tasks. Police Records Technician II is distinguished from Police Records Supervisor in that an incumbent in the latter class is a shift supervisor, with responsibility for supervising the work of other staff. |

Examples of Duties:

| Under general supervision, operates computerized records management and ancillary equipment in the Police Records Bureau; processes a high volume of confidential and varied reports and data into records management systems, and performs related work as required. |

Minimum Qualifications:
|

Licenses, Certificates, Special Requirements: A valid California Driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy. Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; two (2) years of full-time experience working in an administrative and/or clerical support role in a law enforcement agency. Typing speed of 30 words per minute is required. |
