How to Apply To apply for one of the positions listed, please click on the Job Title and follow the links and instructions that have been provided on that link.
User Account An email address is necessary to apply online and to receive updates and notices from Logan City regarding all employment related correspondence, this includes, but is not limited to confirmation that your application and/or job interest card has been received, invitations for interviews, etc.
If this is the first time you’re applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account by clicking the “Applicant Login” link. You will be asked to set-up a Username and Password. Please remember them. You will need them each time you apply for a position, check on the status of your application, submit a Job Interest Card, etc. Please note that your application can be saved and used to apply for other openings. You will also have the opportunity to submit/attach a copy of your Resume, Cover Letter, and supporting documents to your online application should you desire or if it‘s required.
It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. Applications may be rejected if incomplete. Prior to submitting a completed job application, be sure to read the respective job announcement for further instruction. Some applications may require additional information such as a resume, cover letter and supporting documents, however the application must be completed in its entirety to be accepted. Please do not write “see attached resume” on your application. Complete all sections of the online application thoroughly before attaching a resume or cover letter.
Job Interest Cards: If you’re interested in a position that we are currently not recruiting for, you may complete a job interest card by clicking on the “Job Interest Card” tab and indicate “Notify me when this position becomes available” link. Interest cards will be kept in our system for up to 12 months. If you are not contacted within 12 months, you will need to complete another interest card.
Please note that Logan City only accepts online applications that have been submitted by registered users via the links that have been provided on this webpage. We will not accept faxed, emailed, or hand delivered applications, including supporting documents.
Please note that the City accepts job applications for currently open recruitments only. Be sure to submit your application by the deadline date. Application materials are reviewed for relevant education, training and experience. Those applicants best meeting the City’s needs will be invited to participate in a selection process which may include a written exam, performance exam, oral board interview and/or other selection process. Depending upon the applicant pool, all applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will not necessarily be selected to participate in the hiring process.
Where to Apply For your convenience in applying, computers are available at the Logan Library and at our Application Center in the room immediately west of the Municipal Council Chambers at City Hall located at 290 North 100 West between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, except for City Holidays.
