| Responsible for performing technical duties in support of the storm water management program. SERIES LEVEL: The Water Quality Specialist 2 is the fourth level of a four level water quality series. |

Examples of Duties:
|
| Duties include: Overseeing watershed field activities such as water sampling, field screening, stream inspections, detecting and eliminating illicit discharge, analyzing a variety of watershed data, maintaining and updating water quality databases, conducting investigations (using City-owned vehicles), maintaining proper sampling records, enforcing applicable ordinances and regulations, and participating in community outreach activities. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications:
|
| Must have a Bachelor's Degree with coursework in Biological Science, Engineering, or closely related field and experience equivalent to four years water quality inspection and analysis experience, that preferably includes water polluton control and chemical analyses activities. Experience using computers and software that support data management skills is preferred. Must possess a valid regular driver’s license and must obtain Erosion and Sediment Control and HazMat Certifications and a Special Police Commission during probationary period. |
