Sports Officials are responsible for officiating league games and tournaments at assigned youth and/or adult programs.
The Adult Basketball Season will run from November 2009 to March 2010
The Youth Basketball Season will run from January 2010 to March 2010
Basketball Sports Officials are paid $14.00 to $17.00 per game for youth games or $22.00 per game for adult games |

Examples of Duties:
|
• Maintain control of participants and games within the framework of the rules and District policies.
• Effectively officiate games and tournaments.
• Maintain a professional appearance while working.
• Available to work weekends upon request.
• Other duties as assigned. |

Typical Qualifications:
|
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Knowledge of appropriate sports rules.
• Certification is encouraged but not required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and participants.
• Attend Champaign Park District bloodborne pathogen training within two weeks of hire. |

Marginal Functions
• Attend all required meetings.
Psychological Considerations
• The Sports Official must be able to respond to problem situations in a mature manner and within the policies and procedures of the Champaign Park District.
Physiological Considerations
• The Sports Official may need to respond quickly and accurately.
Environmental Considerations
• May be exposed to all weather conditions. |
