| Under direct supervision of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for the on-going maintenance and repair of City facilities and grounds, manually and through the use of vehicles, small equipment, and tools. |
|
Examples of Essential Functions:
|
- Maintenance, repair, and janitorial upkeep of buildings and facilities assigned to the department; landscape maintenance (mowing, edging, trimming), repair, and preparation of grounds assigned to the department.
- Operation and preventative maintenance of miscellaneous power equipment, tools and vehicles in a safe and clean manner.
- Assist with any other related tasks assigned to the department.
- Follows safe working practices and has a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- All employees will have a role in the City’s disaster preparation and/or disaster recovery efforts, as may be designated in the City Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. |

Typical Qualifications:
|
High School graduate or G.E.D. One (1) year of paid experience in the area of labor related to construction or maintenance of buildings or grounds.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be made to determine acceptance of past driving record. |
