| Boulder County is hiring a Family Medicaid Intake and Outreach Specialist (Income Maintenance Technician B) for a new innovative position that will work closely with Clinica Campesina staff as well as with Boulder County Healthy Kids and the Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) program to improve access to health care. The Specialist will report to the Boulder County Healthy Kids Project Director. |

Examples of Duties:

The intake specialist will be responsible for conducting micro and macro level case management to ensure that Medicaid and CHP+ children are receiving the care they need to thrive. This will include conducting proactive outreach to existing Medicaid and CHP+ enrollees to ensure that they are linked to a Medical Home and are receiving all recommended preventive care, including well-child appointments as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The Boulder County Family Medicaid Intake and Outreach Specialist will also be responsible for determining eligibility of new Family Medicaid applicants who submit complete applications at the Clinica Campesina sites in Boulder County, for partnering with Clinica Campesina staff to proactively ensure that families provide all required documentation in a timely manner, and for entering eligibility data into the Colorado Benefits Management System to complete the eligibility determination process. Additionally, the intake and outreach specialist will hold responsibility for adding "Needy Newborns" and "pregnant women" to ongoing cases. The Specialist will provide exceptional bilingual customer service and will perform complex technical duties as well as case and project management with efficiency and skill. |

Required Qualifications:
|
| A high school diploma or equivalent and two years experience working with the public, including one year of experience as an Income Maintenance Technician or any equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree strongly preferred. Experience with public health benefits preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Excellent customer service and community relations skills. Knowledge of relevant health care access and policy issues as they pertain to Medicaid & CHP+ clients and their families. This includes knowledge of county and community-based resources and services. Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience with Windows XP, Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with CBMS is preferred. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Must have access to readily available transportation for business use. Job Offer is contingent on passing a background investigation. |
