Job Title: Program Specialist II - TANF Work Participation Specialist
Salary: $1,678.00 - $2,416.00 Monthly
Job Type: Half-time

Work Force Boulder County has an opening for a Work Participation Specialist – Half-Time.

 Examples of Duties:
Examples of duties: analyze Federal and State rules, policies, and procedures pertaining to the Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) required work activities and Work Participation Rate (WPR) requirements; interpret Federal and State WPR requirements and develop strategies and tactics to increase WPR; serve as an expert resource for Management and Work First Staff on WPR requirements; liaison to Work First Employment Transition Specialist on WPR rules, policies and procedures; collect and disseminate information related to WPR; provide support to Work First Program Manager in the development, design and implementation of program activities, reporting, and monitoring WPR; development of tracking system to ensure that WPR is reported accurately; preparation of WPR progress reports and reviews relating to WPR; dissemination for WPR requirements to Work First Program Staff; development of training around WPR requirements; provide training on WPR rules, regulations and reporting requirements; work closely with Work First Transition Specialist on tracking WPR for Work First clients; liaison with State and County Department to develop and execute appropriate strategies to meet the required WPR; coordinate the full range of activities related to tracking WPR; assist in the development of an annual WPR plan; collect and disseminate information related to WPR; maintain a database of WPR activities; prepare and perform WPR reviews; maintains a variety of program and client records; produce correspondence, reports and memos; maintaining and compiling required program documentation and client files; takes corrective action immediately on clients who are missing activities; tracks each client's attendance on a very regular basis and takes steps to address non-compliance issues; liaison between ETSs, trainers, internship coordinator, and GED instructor, communicating participation hours and attendance. Completing data entry on these hours of participation. Other related duties as required.

 Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field and two years of professional experience in a related human service program. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to effectively work with other employees and agencies and public. CBMS computer experience preferred.
