|
| Work Force Boulder County has an opening for a Work First Crew Leader to direct, train, supervise and motivate teams of Work First participants in a variety of County and municipal work projects, and to mentor participants in areas of personal accomplishment, teamwork and community service. |
|
Examples of Duties:
|
| Working up to 40 hours per week, duties will include: conducting interviews and assessing participants needs; directing and administering work crew projects and assignments; training participants in the skills necessary to accomplish assigned projects; planning and leading team meetings and group activities designed to encourage job skill and life skill development such as teamwork, conflict resolution, communication, goal-setting, decision-making and community service; training participants in work site safety issues and responding with CPR/First Aid in the event of emergencies; project management; developing work schedules for crews and following up on completion of projects; working side by side on work assignments with crew members; assisting in the development of work crew program policies and procedures; working cooperatively with other County and City personnel to develop and monitor work plans and projects for participants; providing counseling assistance and monitoring; maintaining a variety of records, reports, evaluations and inventories; and performing related duties as required. |

Required Qualifications:
|
Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field.
Experience: Two years of professional experience in a related human service program or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Parks/Open Space, trails or landscaping experience that includes work crew supervision preferred. CPR and First Aid certified preferred. |

Job offers will be contingent on passing a background investigation and pre-employment physical. Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record and must be able to perform physically demanding manual labor. |
