| Boulder County Community Justice Services has an opening for an On-Call Community Justice Services Juvenile Assessment Worker to work in the Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC). The JAC is the County's short-term detention and assessment center housing detainees under the age of 18. It is a 24/7 facility. |

Examples of Duties:
|
| This position is designed to offer shift coverage and support for full time employees. Hours will vary and candidate must be available for weekends, holidays and shift work including swing and grave coverage. Duties include, but are not limited to: conducting secured transports; assisting in the assessment of youth and families; ensuring facility security; assisting in structured programming for youth and participating in dayroom activities; and performing other related duties as required by the facility. |

Required Qualifications:
|
Requires two years of college with course work in a social science or a related field. One year of professional experience (either paid or volunteer experience) working in youth corrections, child advocacy, education, or with underserved populations is preferred.
Job offer is contingent on passing a thorough and complete background investigation. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to obtain Self Defense/Control Tactics Certification, CPR and First Aid certifications within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter (training will be provided and paid for by the County). Must be available for weekends, holidays and shift work. |
