A vacancy exists in the Bureau of Long Term Care, Health Department.

Examples of Duties:
Administers evaluations and assessments. Makes determination regarding the appropriate therapy required by patients and makes referrals to other services as needed. Provides individual therapy.
Consults with the case manager and supervisor in regard to the patient's progress and reaction to therapy. Prepares and maintains necessary records and reports of evaluations, therapy results and prognosis. Maintains therapy progress notes.
Consults with physicians and other staff members to discuss and evaluate therapy and treatment plans. Provides consultations to patient's families regarding therapy services. Participates in the training of Occupational Therapy Assistants and other professional personnel.
Participates in case references and in service training programs. Serves on review committees.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; plus three years' experience as an Occupational Therapist in an office, home or facility based therapy setting.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous home health experience as an Occupational Therapist.
