Employment Opportunities

·   Some knowledge of land surveying methods and equipment

·   Some knowledge of basic land surveying principles and practices, mathematics, mathematical tables and computations for land surveying

·   Working knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry and trigonometry as used in the field of surveying

·   Ability to calculate dimensions and areas

·   Ability to use surveying instruments

·   Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

High school diploma/GED and six months experience as a part of a field survey (e.g. operating survey instruments, preparing mathematical calculations, locating traverse points and temporary benchmarks, checking survey calculations, or similar duties) or other work requiring an ability to use and operate survey equipment or read and interpret plans, deeds, plats, maps, and survey description
