This employee inspects all permitted land disturbance projects to ensure compliance with the approved plans of the City and to ensure that infrastructure construction conforms to the City's standards.

Duties include, but are not limited to:  conducting  inspections;  writing citations and attending court proceedings; preparing erosion and sedimentation reports; writing stop work orders, investigating problems and complaints; and performing additional tasks as needed.

Applicants for this position must have an Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or a related field and five years construction inspection experience.  Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be determined under prescribed guidelines.

Applicants must possess a State of Georgia driver's license at time of appointment.

Must be licensed in the State of Georgia as a qualified erosion and sedimentation inspector (Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level 1B certification).

Must be able to obtain authorization as a Special Police Officer.
