|
| The purpose of this job is to supervise the inspection of all permitted and disturbing construction projects. |
|
Examples Of Essential Duties:
|
| Duties include, but are not limited to: Ensuring compliance with the approved plans to the city and Soil & Water Commissions; supervising staff; coordinating assignments; reviewing inspection reports; monitoring construction progress; inspecting project; conducting training; maintaining inspection data; submitting assigned reports; evaluating inspectors; and performing additional tasks as assigned. |

Typical Qualifications:
|
| Applicants for this position must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or a related field and four years construction inspection experience which includes three years of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be determined under prescribed guidelines. |

Supplemental Information:
|
Applicants must possess a State of Georgia driver's license at time of appointment. Must be certified by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission at Level 1B as a minimum or able to obtain certification within probationary period.
Applicants must be able to obtain authorization as a Special Police Officer. |
