|
|
| This employee supervises monitoring and compliance personnel in regulating industrial users and municipalities that are tributary to the City’s Water Reclamation Centers. |
|
Examples Of Essential Duties:
|
| Ensure compliance with City, State, and Federal water pollution control regulations; reviews, approves, and initiates industrial surcharge rates, and generates industrial wastewater discharge permits; reviews and evaluates industrial user discharge limitations; provides information and directives concerning industrial wastewater control processes, regulations, and actions required to achieve compliance; enforces regulations governing the pretreatment and disposal of industrial wastewater; responds to hazardous materials spills or other emergencies to protect life and property. |

Typical Qualifications:
|
| Applicants for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, one of the Earth Sciences or a related field and three years of experience in industrial waste inspections, wastewater monitoring, hazardous waste management, industrial waste treatment, and/or compliance activities; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. |
