| Arlington County is seeking a manager with strong data, server, operations and application infrastructure experience to join us in providing technology services to the County’s employees and resident and business community who represent one of the most educated and technological savvy constituencies in the world. Arlington has a demonstrated record of technology achievement and we are taking the next steps towards modernizing our system. The manager will have hands-on operational responsibilities and play a significant role in the continued growth and enhancement of technology infrastructure serving this community. This individual will take a lead role in a number of technology initiatives including the design and construction of a new state-of-the-art ‘Green’ Network/Data Operations Center incorporating the latest environmental equipment and processes and the enhanced virtualization deployment between two Network Operating Centers. The manager will be responsible for the migration to the new center as well as the day to day operations, maintenance, and continuing implementation of energy efficient processes for the County’s core technology infrastructure. This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Computing & Infrastructure Services and will provide assistance to the director in multiple areas including contract management, customer service, division administration and act for the director during absences. Specific job responsibilities include: · Design and implementation of a hosting strategy ’road map’. · Developing and negotiating statements of work · Implementing internal and external service level agreements · Establishing and monitoring operational and energy performance measures · Assisting in the design and implementation of fully integrated Level 1, 2 and 3 Customer Service function for data and application hosting services
