The Senior Oracle Functional Analyst position exists to evaluate business requirements, propose alternatives and implement functional solutions within the Oracle Applications area with an emphasis on support for Human Services Financial Case Management ERP System; Proposes business improvements based on industry best practices using the Oracle Applications and Human Services Financial Case Management ERP System; Conducts gap analysis and write / maintain functional specifications for new or modified business processes; Assists with the configuration and setup of Oracle modules; Consults and assists the technical team during design, development and testing of automated solutions; Assists users in the writing of user documentation, instructions, test scripts and procedures.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY):
Provides technical expertise and business analysis services for the implementation of Oracle applications and the Human Services Financial Case Management ERP solution; Provides analysis and planning of various upcoming events, i.e.: Oracle Applications activities and issues which may include: development, upgrades, implementations, re-organizations, migrations; Provides support for all interfaces/integration to Oracle Applications and the Human Services Financial Case Management ERP solutions; Creates queries and reports based on user needs; Provides application support for Oracle Applications and the Human Services Financial Case Management ERP solution to resolve system problems and to ensure optimal utilization of the products; Supports all patching, upgrades and maintenance activities by testing and troubleshooting functional issues; Leads functional acceptance testing of enhancements, patches and upgrades; Provides project leadership for implementation of Oracle applications and development of Human services Financial Case Management ERP solutions; Researches, reviews, develops and tests new tools, skill sets and techniques to save time and increase productivity within the Senior Oracle Functional Analyst position and /or enhance the Oracle Applications systems and the Human Services Financial Case Management ERP solutions; Monitor's the Oracle Applications' and the Human Services Financial Case Management ERP solutions processes to ensure proper accessibility, performance and operability; Monitors each of the Oracle Applications to validate a minimum threshold of operability and pro-actively manage problems before critical user and system data is affected; Researches and advises DBA as to short and long term Applications support issues, upcoming Application changes, program acquisitions, etc. Documents processes and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
B. S. degree in Computer Science or Post Secondary training in related field with equivalent work experience; Six years of related programming experience.
Knowledge of: And experience with Oracle Applications; UNIX system administration, shell scripting; PL/SQL, C, SQL, and 4GL programming; Database and application design, development and debugging/troubleshooting and testing; Oracle development tools i.e.: Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, SQL *Forms, Application Express; Managing staff assigned to a project; Application development and support; Application Development tools and Object Oriented programming for assigned applications as well as Enterprise and PC Systems products; Relational databases; Using stored procedures, triggers, SQL statements; Working as technical or functional lead role; Web development; Working with reporting tools.
Ability to: Apply effective analytical methods to existing and new applications; Define and evaluate systems requirements and recommend effective solutions; Document system procedures; Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences; Develop and provide individual or group instruction and training in the use of aforementioned systems.
Skill in: Problem identification and resolution; Oral and written communications.
