Essential Duties:
|
- Responsible for all staff at the facility.
- Maintains staff rotation and breaks.
- Maintains discipline at the facility.
- Supervises the front desk, lifeguard, and volunteer staff.
- Makes decisions regarding refusal and removal of patrons with health problems, intoxication, bathing attire, behavioral and disciplinary issues.
- Develops a staff schedule and distributes to staff.
- Reports disciplinary problems.
- Assigns duties to the lifeguards.
- Ensures that all policies, rules, and regulations are enforced by staff and followed by participants.
- Schedules weekly staff in-service trainings, and providing documentation.
- Enforces and informs patrons of facility rules.
- Ensures pool is properly staffed and cleaned at all times.
- Responsible for opening and closing the facility.
- Responsible for maintaining proper water chemistry at all times.
- Responsible for checking and maintaining all equipment at the facility and repairing equipment as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory for all pool/facility supplies.
- Prepares reports as needed.
- Makes and records daily deposits.
- Evaluates performance of all staff members.
- Handles grievances of staff members.

Education/Experience, Licenses, Knowledge and Skills, Physical Requirements:
|
Education/Experience: · Candidates must have valid and current Lifeguard Training Certification and Water Safety Instructor Certification by date of hire. · Supervisory experience required. · Aquatic facility maintenance experience preferred. · Office experience preferred. · Cash handling experience preferred. · One (1) years lifeguard experience preferred. Knowledge & Skills: - Basic lifeguard skills/duties.
- Knowledge of Water Chemistry.
- Skill in teaching classes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in swimming abilities.
- Ability to handle rescue activities while in the water.
- Be able to identify problems either visually or by auditory means in order to be alert to life saving needs.
- Personnel management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic business administration skills.
- Developing/planning/implementing recreational activities.
